Process Flow
Process Description
Leaf Reception & Inspection
Fresh Aloe Vera leaves are received and inspected to ensure maturity, freshness, and freedom from physical damage before processing.
Washing
Leaves are washed using stainless steel washing systems with sanitized water to remove:
- Soil
- Dust
- Latex residues
- Microorganisms
- Foreign particles
Sorting & Trimming
Operators remove damaged leaves while trimming thorny edges and preparing leaves for gel extraction.
Filleting
Automated or semi-automatic filleting systems carefully separate the outer rind from the inner gel.
This minimizes contamination from yellow latex (Aloin) while maximizing gel recovery.
Gel Extraction
Pure Aloe Vera gel is extracted using hygienic stainless steel equipment designed to minimize oxidation and preserve natural bioactive compounds.
Decolorization
Food-grade adsorption systems remove Aloin and pigments to produce a clear, stabilized Aloe Vera extract suitable for food, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical applications.
Filtration
Multi-stage filtration removes suspended solids while maintaining polysaccharide content.
Pasteurization
The gel undergoes mild thermal treatment to ensure microbiological safety while preserving nutritional quality.
Benefits include:
- Longer shelf life
- Reduced microbial load
- Product safety
- Improved export quality
Vacuum Concentration
Where concentrate production is required, Aloe Vera gel is concentrated under vacuum to preserve heat-sensitive nutrients.
Advantages include:
- Low temperature operation
- Better color retention
- Reduced energy consumption
- Higher product stability
Spray Drying
For powder production, concentrated Aloe Vera is spray dried under carefully controlled conditions to produce:
- Free-flowing powder
- Excellent solubility
- High Acemannan retention
- Long shelf life
Aseptic Filling
Finished products are packed in hygienic aseptic systems to prevent contamination and extend storage life.
