Hibiscus Liquid Herbal Extraction Plant
- Raw Material Selection: Hibiscus sabdariffa calyces (flower petals) are collected from cultivated fields at peak bloom for maximum active component content. Only healthy, deep-colored, and unblemished flowers are chosen for extraction to ensure potency and natural color richness.
- Cleaning and Preparation: The flowers are cleaned using water or air blowers to remove dirt, insects, and other contaminants. Once cleaned, they are air-dried or lightly dehydrated to remove surface moisture while retaining essential phytochemicals such as anthocyanins and flavonoids.
- Extraction Process: The plant material is loaded into stainless steel extraction tanks where it undergoes aqueous or hydro-alcoholic extraction, depending on the application. The extraction is performed at controlled temperature and agitation to retain the bioactive compounds and vivid color.
- Filtration and Concentration: The extracted solution is passed through filtration systems (filter press or mesh filters) to remove fibrous residues and obtain a clear hibiscus extract.
- Concentration : For applications requiring stronger potency or to remove excess solvent, the extract may be concentrated using vacuum evaporators, maintaining low temperature to preserve sensitive compounds like anthocyanins.
- Quality Control: Each batch is tested for anthocyanin content, pH, microbial load, and physical parameters to comply with standard specifications.
- Packaging and Storage: The final liquid extract is filled into HDPE or glass containers under hygienic conditions. Storage is done in cool, shaded areas away from sunlight to maintain its deep red color and chemical integrity.
