Mechotech’s Red Chilli Oleoresin Extraction Plant is engineered for the efficient extraction of oleoresins from dried red chillies (Capsicum annuum), rich in capsaicin and carotenoids. These extracts are widely used in the food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic industries for their pungency, color, and bioactive properties.
Raw Material Used
- Sun-dried or mechanically dehydrated red chillies
- Capsicum species with high capsaicin and color value
- Cleaned and pulverized before processing
Extraction Methods
- Solvent Used: Food-grade hexane or ethanol (based on application)
- Type: Counter-current solvent extraction
- Temperature Range: 50°C – 60°C
- Duration: 4–6 hours depending on pungency level
Post-Extraction Processing
- Solvent Recovery Unit (SRU): Up to 98% recovery efficiency
- Standardization: Adjusted for specific Scoville Heat Units (SHU) and color (ASTA value)
